Central Sterile Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Sterile Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment, adhering to established procedures, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Process specialty and general instruments.
• Reset instrument sets accurately and without error.
• Decontaminate instruments and equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels within the Central Sterile Department.
• Prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
• Communicate instrument repair needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 2-4 years of related experience preferred.
• Licenses and Credentials: Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• In-depth knowledge of case cart assembly.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards related to materials management.
• Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
