CVPICU Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The CVPICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, focusing on the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in their health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health care topics and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with a strong focus on pediatric nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
