Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced inpatient setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on both medical-surgical and neurological conditions.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (18:45 – 07:15)
• Weekend Coverage: Required on an every-other-weekend basis

Essential Job Duties

• Deliver exceptional patient care focused on experience and outcomes.
• Manage a patient load with a staffing ratio of 1:6 during night shifts.
• Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements and skill set.
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system for accurate medication administration.
• Participate actively in the care of patients with various diagnoses including Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Sepsis.
• Assist with special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; no first-time travelers.
• EPIC experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.

Patient Care Focus

This unit specializes in inpatient care for stroke and TIA patients, along with higher acuity medical-surgical patients. A strong emphasis is placed on enhancing patient experience and delivering high-quality care.
