Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to manage acute patient situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Effectively assess patient needs and prioritize tasks in a dynamic setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform necessary procedures as required.
• Document patient care and progress utilizing Cerner EMR.
• Provide triage and emergency care to patients with diverse medical conditions.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, & PALS.
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Experience in a facility with at least 45,600 visits per year preferred.
• Triage experience is a plus.
• Must be willing to float within skillset as necessary.
• Valid Flu vaccine documentation is required for all staff.

Work Schedule

• Available shifts: 3×12 Nights or 4×12 Nights.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment required.

Additional Information

Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain professionalism in a challenging environment.
