Central Sterile Technician

Job Description

This position involves performing various functions related to the pickup, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of reprocessed and disposable items and/or equipment within the Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department. The Central Sterile Technician will report to the Supervisor of Central Sterile Processing and will adhere to established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Schedule

This role requires a work schedule of 5 days a week with one weekend call per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pickup, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of medical items and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members as needed.
• Participate in quality control and safety activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of experience in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
• CSP Certification is required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
