Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality medical-surgical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: RN/LPN (6:1), CNA (12:1)
• Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Required
• Scrub Color: White tops, hunter green pants

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift Time: 7 AM – 7 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions such as CHF, COPD, ESRD, Pneumonia, Renal Failure, Sickle Cell Crisis, Orthopedic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, AMS, and Sepsis.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding to their needs.
• Documenting patient information accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
• Participating in continuing education and fulfilling competency requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hospital medical-surgical units.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
• Other Requirements: Must adhere to the 75-mile radius rule and provide a copy of the driver’s license.
