Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide quality patient care across various units, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 3×12 Hour Shifts
• Shift Timings: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as necessary

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Completion of at least one travel assignment preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a perfect score of 100% on lethal rhythms

Job Responsibilities

The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float RN will be responsible for:

• Providing direct patient care in various units, adapting to different patient acuity levels.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Monitoring and interpreting patient data to assess and address health needs.
• Administering medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and competencies.

Additional Requirements

• This position requires floating to different units as per skillset and patient acuity.
• All employees are required to receive the Flu vaccine.
