Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Shift Information

Three 12-hour night shifts with varying schedules.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient-centric care in compliance with state standards. The nurse will collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or pending authorization to practice by endorsement.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within six months of hire.
• A minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills are necessary.
• Ability to function independently and respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.
