Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join a dedicated Neuro Medicine unit. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in neuro nursing and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night (12 hours) from 18:45 to 07:15
• Work schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Contract length available until 02/27/2027
• Flexible opportunities for longer contracts
• Rotation includes every other weekend and holidays
• Float requirements may apply
• Staff to patient ratio: 1:6

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro patients.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training.
• Utilize systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication management and documentation.
• Participate in the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team as needed during catastrophic events.

Required Skills, Certifications, and Experience

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a neuro setting is required.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to the start for this specialty.

Unit Orientation

All new staff will undergo a 24-hour unit orientation.

Scrubs

Standard scrubs are navy blue.

Additional Notes

• Limited RTO (Request Time Off) – no more than 7 days.
• Please be prepared to respond during disaster or mass casualty events.
