Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). This role involves implementing therapy interventions designed to foster the development and restoration of functional independence in patients, in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the OT plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in providing education to patients and their families regarding therapy processes.
• Communicate patient status and progress effectively to the supervising OT.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Possess an active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or have the ability to obtain one.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and patient care skills.
