Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Oncology specialty to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This position involves working in a step-down/neuro unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a step-down/neuro setting.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while monitoring patient responses.
• Conduct patient assessments, document findings, and communicate pertinent information to the team.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management plans.
• Be flexible to float to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry units as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with travel experience preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system within the last 18 months must be clearly documented.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, specifically 3×12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15).
