Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and supporting our wound salvage program, which focuses on preserving patients’ extremities through a series of surgical interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer care to patients with various medical conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the wound salvage program, including managing wound care, administering antibiotics, and assisting in surgical procedures.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding their treatment and care plans.
• Float to other units within your skillset as required.
• Work every third weekend as part of the scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification is required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in medical-surgical settings.
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment.

Additional Requirements

• All employees must receive the flu vaccine.
• Experience in wound care and working with patients with peripheral vascular disease (PVD) is highly desirable.
