Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures, applying X-rays and radioactive substances to patients as prescribed by physicians. This role involves operating specialized X-ray equipment, maintaining treatment records, and preparing operational reports. Effective management of supplies and equipment is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in alignment with the patient’s prescribed diagnosis, treatment, age group, development, and other identified needs.
• Perform all duties related to the administration of prescribed courses of radiation therapy.
• Maintain and manage operational supplies and equipment effectively.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a relevant field.
• MRT License in the state of employment.
• RRT License in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RADTH).
• Two to five years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with TrueBeam machine, Aria/Varian, and specialized procedures such as SPRT, SRS, IGRT, and IMRT is required.
• Experience with IMRT and LDR/HDR is preferred.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of five days per week, consisting of eight hours each day.
