Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will offer high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PICU.
• Monitor and assess patients’ condition, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
• Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.

Schedule

The position involves rotating shifts, including:

• Night: 4 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
• Day: 4 shifts of 12 hours (07:00 – 19:00)

Please note, the schedule will vary, with few weeks on one shift before transitioning to the other. Shifts will not rotate within the same week.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a pediatric critical care setting.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
• Ability to work a minimum of 2 holidays per year.
