Minimum Experience Required

2 years of chemotherapy administration experience

Certifications/Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification Required

Job Description

The Outpatient Chemotherapy Infusion Registered Nurse plays a vital role within the cancer care team, working in the infusion area to deliver professional oncology nursing care. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessment of health history and addressing physician orders
• Performing in-office procedures and providing patient & family education
• Administering chemotherapy and managing cancer symptoms
• Monitoring patients through frequent visits to assess physical and emotional well-being
• Facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers by relaying patient information and feedback
• Delivering direct nursing care and triaging patient care needs
• Applying clinical knowledge and judgment to analyze and act on patient care issues
• Completing additional duties as assigned by the Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Leader
