Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role involves assisting patients in developing and restoring functional independence, in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions according to the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients and their families about therapy goals and techniques.
• Communicate patient status effectively to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.
