Neuroscience ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Neuroscience ICU is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in critical care. This position involves caring for critically ill patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses, including neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke, and spinal cord injuries, all of which may present with complex comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuroscience ICU.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient care on a 1:2 clinician-to-patient ratio.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care progression.
• Document patient assessments and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of strong critical care experience required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in Neuro critical care nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Experience in a similar clinical setting is highly desirable.

Schedule

This position offers flexibility with scheduling options, including:

• 36 hours or 48 hours per week
• Straight night shifts or rotating day/night shifts
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) requirements
