Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and a team-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care and assist in diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with facility protocols and regulations.
• Participate in patient education and support patients and families throughout their treatment journey.
• Adapt to floating requirements within the facility and to other locations as needed.

On-Call Requirements

All Registered Nurses will be included in call requirements, which consist of one weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays per week.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a fast-paced environment.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. Delays in compliance may lead to a two-week push back due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

All incoming Registered Nurses will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit and adherence to facility guidelines. Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis.

Time Off and Holiday Requirements

Registered Nurses may designate a maximum of 7 days of requested time off. If assigned during major holidays, the expectation is to work according to the following:

• If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it.
• If two major holidays appear, the traveler is expected to work both.
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two.

Major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate. Orientation hours are determined by contract length.
