Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat hospitalized patients. The primary focus of this role is to assist patients in regaining the physical and cognitive skills necessary for daily living and ensuring a safe discharge.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Duration: 8-hour shifts, with start times as early as 7 AM and end times as late as 5:30 PM (some flexibility available)
• Weekend Requirements: Potential for 1-2 weekend days per month (prearranged)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapy exercises and daily living adaptations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care Occupational Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Active Occupational Therapy license in Michigan at the time of submission.
