Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness to assist radiologists and physicians in making diagnoses. This role includes a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while following established technical standards under the guidance of the Chief Technologist and the Director of Radiology and Cardiology Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols, including universal precautions for handling blood and body fluids.
• Provide support across various departments, including Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, OR, Pain Clinic, Orthopedics, ER, and Outpatient Services.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with professional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Current licensure: Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License, Category Radiography.
• Current ARRT and BLS/CPR Certification required.
• At least 2+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.

Expectations

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care and possess the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Transitioning to the Epic system is expected in the near future, so familiarity with this platform is crucial.

Additional Information

Local travelers will not be accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility). Candidates must have been separated from any similar organizations for at least six months to be considered.
