Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

• Days & Evenings

• 3 shifts of 12 hours

• 36 hours per week

• Shift hours from 0630 to 1900

Qualifications

• Active Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required.
• Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is required.
• Must maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Adherence to relevant policies and unit standards is expected.
• Familiarity with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and current legal standards of nursing practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care with compassion, utilizing the nursing process and established standards of practice.
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments as needed.
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs, making adjustments as necessary.
• Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
• Collect and assess patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered.
• Conduct ongoing holistic assessments of patient status and respond appropriately.
• Determine and carry out nursing actions to meet comprehensive patient care goals, addressing physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Provide timely health education to patients and their families, sharing written materials as appropriate.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Engage in performance evaluation and improvement processes with clinical leadership.
• Collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with established policies.

Note: This position may require floating as a sitter and taking on-call responsibilities.
