Cath Lab Tech

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Tech to join our team. The role involves working in a dynamic environment, providing support for various cardiac procedures while ensuring optimal patient care and safety.

Shift Details

The position requires rotating shifts of 4×10 hours, which include:

• Days from 07:00 to 17:30
• Days from 09:30 to 20:00

Shifts may vary based on the completion of procedures, with an emphasis on maintaining a consistent schedule week to week. On-call and holiday work may be necessary based on staffing needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform circulatory and monitoring duties during procedures.
• Assist in various cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain and manage equipment in compliance with health regulations.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide optimal care.
• Remain on-call one weekend every seven weeks and assume evening shift responsibilities weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitoring responsibilities.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ARRT or RCIS credentials required or in process; must possess a valid state license.
• Radiation badge provided by the agency is mandatory.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Additional Information

The facility encompasses an acute care environment with a total of 304 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC for patient charting. Hospital-issued scrubs are required for all staff members.

During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed. The hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity between August and September.
