Cath Lab Tech

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our team. This position offers a rotating schedule consisting of 4 ten-hour shifts, with varying start times to provide flexibility and coverage as procedures are completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in 4 to 5 labs daily, typically managing a case load of 20-25 cases.
• Maintain proficiency in coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures.
• Scrub and monitor during procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal performance.
• Participate in on-call duties, which include one weekend shift every seven weeks and an evening shift weekly.
• Be prepared to contribute to emergency response during hurricane season, if necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• ARRT or RCIS certification is required (must be registered or in process).
• South Carolina state license is mandatory.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the candidate’s agency; facility does not provide this.
• Acceptance of first-time travelers.

Work Environment

• Position is located in an acute care hospital setting with a total of 304 staffed beds.
• Scrubs are provided by the facility.
• Charting will be done using the EPIC system.
• Parking is available at no cost, with required passes distributed at badge pickup.
