Job Description

This position requires dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The role involves a commitment to excellence in nursing services while demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and direction from healthcare team leaders.
• Participate in patient assessments, implementing appropriate nursing interventions and documenting outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in the management of patients requiring telemetry monitoring, providing necessary support for their needs.
• Participate in patient and family education, promoting health and wellness through effective communication.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt to floating to like units and overflow areas as needed to maintain staffing levels.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience required.
• Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam.
• Current certification in ACLS (AHA) is required.
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHABLS) required.
• Documented professional development activities preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.

Additional Information

Selected candidates will be required to undergo a Flu compliance requirement during onboarding. Candidates should be prepared for a 12-hour night shift including weekends and holidays as needed.

Please note that candidates must complete a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and a medications test during onboarding, with only one attempt allowed to pass each test. A score of 85% or above is required to qualify.
