Registered Nurse (RN) – OB/GYN

Shift Notes

Varied 12-hour shifts (3 PM – 3 AM and 3 AM – 3 PM) with a 36-hour guarantee. Schedule requests must be discussed prior to acceptance. Weekend requirements include working every third weekend.

Job Description

Within the organization’s mission and values, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for assigned patients during their shift. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments.
• Planning and implementing individualized patient care plans.
• Evaluating outcomes of patient care and adjusting plans as necessary.
• Making clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
• Assisting in directing and educating non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
• Demonstrating flexibility with schedule changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OB experience is required.
• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment is required.
• Ability to function effectively as a first assist and scrub OB is highly preferred.

Certifications Required

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• BLS (Basic Life Support, American Heart Association)
• STABLE
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, American Heart Association)

Licensure Requirements

Must possess an active Ohio or Compact RN license.
