NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled NICU Registered Nurse with a commitment to providing exceptional care in a Level 3 or 4 Intensive Care Nursery. This position requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for infants with complex medical needs, including premature infants and those requiring surgical interventions.
• Administer specialized therapies such as Therapeutic Hypothermia and Nitric Oxide.
• Utilize advanced technologies including Servo Vents, HFOV, Tecotherm, and other neonatal equipment.
• Participate in patient assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of care protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU.
• Experience with vents is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current certifications in BLS and NRP are mandatory.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Contract Length: Minimum of 13 weeks.
• Weekend Requirement: Work 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays within a 6-week period.
• Call Requirement: No call obligations.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:2-4.
• Special Procedures: Includes but not limited to UAC/UVC, Broviac, Trachs, and GTT.
• Unit Orientation: 24 hours of orientation is provided for all new staff.
• Self-Scheduling based on unit needs.

Additional Notes

• RTO (Requested Time Off): A maximum of 7 days is allowed for auto offers. Please note that there is a strict policy against Christmas RTO.
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white scrubs are to be worn.
