Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as defined by standards and competencies in the assigned service area. This role includes the care of various patient populations, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout their life cycle. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, making nursing diagnoses, identifying outcomes, planning and implementing care, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.

The RN will develop and revise the patient care plan, collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care, and delegate appropriate activities to other care providers. The nurse actively participates in decision-making and accountability for nursing practices. By embodying leadership qualities and skills, the RN helps define, implement, and enhance practice standards while promoting exemplary patient care.

Shift Details

• Shifts: 0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330
• 40-hour guarantee
• Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd Weekend

Role Responsibilities

• Execute Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
• Engage in continuous improvement of practice standards and environment of care.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Critical Care Experience (ICU/ED)
• 2 Years PACU Experience
• ICU Critical Care Experience
• Previous Travel Experience
• Epic Experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• Ability to Interpret Cardiac Rhythms
• Experience with Pediatric to Geriatric Patient Populations
• Trauma Level I Experience

• Work history documentation
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory References with employment dates listed
• Prior work history must be clearly documented
• Eligibility to work in the USA must be noted if applicable
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of application submission

State License Requirements

Current Minnesota Nursing License is required.
