ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and demonstrate safe medication practices.
• Participate in patient education and support activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in an ICU setting.
• Permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.

Additional Information

The position is for the night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). The nurse is expected to work at least every other holiday. During orientation, candidates must successfully complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment.
