Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced registered nurse to join our team in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care during the night shift and be committed to maintaining a safe and effective environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the orthopedic and surgical unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participate in patient assessments and contribute to care planning.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent medical-surgical/telemetry experience required.
• Must possess an active Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to the start of employment.
• References required from a recent manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty.

Orientation and Assessments

• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is mandatory.
• An acceptable score on both assessments is required for continued employment.

Schedule

Night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
