Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description

Join a newly established 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit. The unit specializes in the care of adult medical patients, providing a supportive and professional environment.

Position Description

This position offers an opportunity to work as a tele RN, focused on patient care within a telemetry setting. The clinician-to-patient ratio is 4 to 5 patients per RN, ensuring manageable workloads and dedicated patient attention.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in one location.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Traveler.
• Ability to read cardiac telemetry strips is essential.
• Active Massachusetts RN License required.
• AHA BLS certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical patients in a telemetry environment.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
• Engage in patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Work Environment

This position requires flexibility, including the ability to float to other units as needed and work rotating shifts. Staff may rotate day and night positions as necessary to cover open shifts.

Charting System

Using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and patient management.

Additional Information

The unit consists of 24 private patient rooms with a maximum census of 24 patients, providing a focused environment for nursing staff and optimal patient care.
