Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical unit. This role focuses primarily on providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, with an emphasis on orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, and urology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, providing comprehensive care throughout the surgical recovery process.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and needs, ensuring a supportive and healing environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
• Experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred, with a focus on surgical care.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the department.
