Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)

Job Description

As a Licensed Nursing Assistant, you will deliver basic nursing and restorative care in accordance with established policies and procedures, under the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs). This position requires flexibility to work different shifts as needed, including every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift reports and communicate significant observations regarding resident care and environmental conditions to licensed personnel.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administer specified skin care treatments as outlined in the Resident Care Plan.
• Support residents with ambulation, movement, and position changes, including range of motion exercises.
• Assist with nutritional needs such as feeding and hydration, as well as toileting and bowel/bladder training.
• React to emergencies per facility policy, ensuring a safe environment and protecting resident rights at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of Resident Care Plans to provide appropriate nursing care and comply with established standards and procedures.
• Utilize proper infection control techniques and respect the spiritual beliefs of residents.
• Encourage resident participation in their care as appropriate to their optimal level of functioning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
• Willingness to float to various units based on experience.
• Covid vaccination series is required; declinations/exemptions are not accepted.
• Active New Hampshire nursing license required during submission.
• BLS certification (AHA) must be provided.

Additional Information

Candidates must be available for any shift and must work every other weekend. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted in advance, as RTO requests post-submission will not be approved. Flexibility to work on holidays may be required.
