- Every other weekend required
- Must work 3 out of 6 major holidays

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar psychiatric or rehabilitation setting
- Current BLS Certification is required
- Experience with IV administration is essential
- Crisis management course will be completed during orientation
Patient Population and Unit Information
The position involves working across five psychiatric units, treating a diverse patient population with common diagnoses including:
- Depression
- Personality disorders
- Schizophrenia
- Addiction issues
Units include:
- Long-term care psychiatric unit (OAK1)
- Locked acute units (PC1)
- Medical detox units (D2E and D2W)
- Residential rehabilitation unit (CTW)
Job Duties
- Conduct admissions (no admissions overnight)
- Administer medication and lead medication education groups
- Perform patient assessments
- Assist with patient meals as needed
Essential Skills and Responsibilities
Strong communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including:
- Physicians
- Psychiatrists
- Therapists
- Social workers
- Addiction counselors
The facility promotes a compassionate approach and values proactive team members. Staff are expected to remain engaged and active throughout their shifts.
Additional Information
- Training will consist of 3 days of hospital orientation followed by unit-specific orientation.
- Use of physical restraints is permitted if necessary, with training provided during orientation.
- Psych techs will be present on each unit, supported by security personnel.
- Engagement with patients walking the campus is required; the environment is mostly low-violence, with clear protocols for managing non-compliant behavior.
