Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Telemetry Registered Nurse in a Float Pool setting, requiring flexibility to float between various Med/Surg Telemetry units within the organization. The role primarily involves working night shifts and includes weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, managing cardiac drips and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Float between multiple units, providing care in diverse patient settings as needed.
• Document patient care activities consistently using the EMR system (EPIC).
• Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of up to 6:1 during night shifts.
• Care for a variety of patient populations, including those with acute health needs and non-vented patients in transition from ICU.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience.
• A minimum of 2 years working in a travel nursing capacity is preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring experience, including reading strips and measuring intervals every 4 hours.
• TR Band experience required.

Required Certifications

• Active RN License in Massachusetts.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification is required.
