CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Unit Details

• Weekend Coverage: Friday to Sunday
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, variable schedule
• Floating: May float within facility as needed
• Minimum Experience: 2 years; first-time travelers accepted

Clinical Screening

Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine clinical fit. If deemed suitable and compliant with guidelines, candidates will be presented for final decision.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work major holidays during their assignment. The holiday obligation is as follows:

• If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler must work it.
• If two major holidays occur, both must be worked.
• If three major holidays fall within the timeframe, two must be worked.

The following holidays are considered major:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance

Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start. Failure to meet compliance deadlines will result in a postponement of two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation Information

The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).

Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
