Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team in a Level I Trauma Center. This position requires working three 12-hour shifts on the mid-day schedule. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, mid-day (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM)
• On-call Requirements: Up to two weekend on-call shifts per four-week scheduling period.
• Holidays: Must be available to work at least one holiday, including Christmas and New Year’s.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures.
• Float between like units and potentially to sister facilities as needed to meet facility demands.
• Use cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, nurse-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience strongly preferred.
• SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with trauma level surgical procedures is strongly preferred.
• Radiation badge will be provided by the agency.
• Experience in scrubbing preferred.

• The Main Operating Room consists of 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics.
• This institution is recognized as a Magnet designated department and is dedicated to providing advanced healthcare to the community.
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking management: A $20 registration fee for a hang tag will be required to use the designated parking garage.
• All travelers should be aware of the potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).
