Pharmacist Inpatient

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will provide pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, while collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Schedule

• 7 on 7 off schedule
• Night shifts from 21:00 to 07:30

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medication orders to ensure appropriateness of therapy.
• Compound and dispense medications as per established protocols.
• Provide drug information and counseling to healthcare providers and patients.
• Participate in medication therapy management and clinical rounds.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws regarding pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in an inpatient setting.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Current pharmacy license in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

• Floating within the facility may be required as needed.
• Maximum allowed requested time off: 7 days.
• Travelers are expected to work during major holidays, as outlined:
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance is required to start on time. Delays in compliance may result in a push back of 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
