Pediatric Sonographer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Sonographer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge and proficiency with the ECMO procedure, assisting with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placements. A strong understanding of congenital heart disease and non-congenital forms is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with ECMO procedures.
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual non-congenital heart disease.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography is preferred.
• Fetal echocardiography experience is encouraged.
• Adult echocardiography experience is a plus.

Job Duties

• Perform echocardiographic studies across the spectrum of diagnoses including fetal congenital heart disease, pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography.
• Provide coverage in NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU.
• Recognize and triage emergent situations effectively.
• Communicate findings and provide written documentation to cardiologists.
• Maintain and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment.
• Log and manage billing of procedures.

Technical Requirements

• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic and PACS systems including Fuji CV Synapse.
• Familiarity with Philips ultrasound equipment is preferred.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a dynamic clinical environment with a focus on patient care in specialized units. A floor orientation of 1-2 weeks will be provided to ensure thorough familiarity with the facilities and equipment.

Schedule

The typical working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Attire

Attire will consist of scrubs in Caribbean Blue color.
