Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, primarily for admitted patients, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, including IV medications, while adhering to the seven medication rights.
• Document and communicate clinical findings effectively.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to various units, including Adult PCUs and ED Holding, as required by staffing needs.
• Participate in weekend shifts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with Level I Trauma experience preferred.
• Candidates with 1.5 years of experience may be considered based on qualifications.
• Valid nursing license; pending licenses accepted at the time of submission.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC is required.
• Travel experience is strongly preferred, particularly for those without extensive Level I Trauma experience.

Work Schedule

• Shifts available are 3×12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Must be available to work on weekends as required.

Additional Information

• Travelers can expect a significant proportion of admitted patients in the Emergency Department, approximately 60%-80%.
• Must possess TNCC certification prior to submission, NIH certification may pend until documentation due date.
• Guaranteed hours are based on contracted weekly shifts, with a potential for call-off due to staffing needs.
• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted.
