PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is a night shift role, requiring commitment from Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in post-anesthesia care and demonstrated nursing expertise in an academic medical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and assess the recovery process, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and interventions in alignment with best practices and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nurse experience.
• At least 1 year of travel experience in a PACU setting.
• 1+ years of experience in an academic medical center environment.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
