Polysomnographic Technologist

The Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This role involves performing sleep studies and providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education. Candidates should be committed to enhancing patient well-being through thorough assessments and effective interventions.

Education & Training Requirements

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist; or
• New Mexico Registered (or Certified) Respiratory Therapist who has successfully completed a Polysomnographic Program accredited by CAAHEP
• NM Polysomnography license preferred
• Minimum of a High School Diploma

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct sleep studies and analyze data to diagnose sleep disorders.
• Provide therapeutic services to manage and treat diagnosed conditions.
• Educate patients regarding sleep hygiene and the importance of sleep health.
• Monitor patients throughout their sleep studies to ensure safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
