Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele

Job Overview

This position involves providing care in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment during night shifts. The role requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic and surgical needs.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and ECG rhythms, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education regarding health management and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and unencumbered Ohio nursing license or a compact license.
• A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory (AHA or American Red Cross). NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
• Must provide one recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty.

Schedule

This role requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a night schedule.

Unit Information

The successful candidate will work in a dedicated orthopedic and surgical unit, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients with specialized needs.
