Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. This position involves floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med-Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric Emergency Department boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Support critically ill infants and children, utilizing knowledge and skills from both PICU and NICU experiences.
• Work effectively in high-stakes environments, demonstrating adaptability and clinical expertise.

Shift Information

• Nights – 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Shift length: 12 hours (19:00 – 07:00).
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.

Requirements

• 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Must have PICU and NICU experience, with a preference for previous float pool experience.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required but can be pending at the time of application (cost associated).
• Epic electronic health record experience is required.
• Must adhere to the float policy.
• Can submit application with Virginia nursing license pending.
