CT/X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT/X-Ray Technologist primarily focused on computed tomography, with a solid foundation in X-ray processes. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of technical procedures, independent judgment, and critical thinking skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of technical procedures in the CT and X-ray domains, ensuring adherence to departmental and hospital policies.
• Take initiative in applying appropriate skills for accurate diagnosis.
• Assume independent responsibilities as assigned by supervisory staff.
• Provide supervision and instruction to department personnel as directed.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and documentation through written, verbal, and electronic formats.
• Adhere to infection control measures and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Perform primary diagnostic radiology and CT scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.
• Complete annual mandatory education, including training on blood borne pathogens and infection control.
• Maintain departmental competencies as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in computed tomography (CT).
• ARRT (CT) Certification is required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Ability to function independently and efficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment.
• Must possess a personal vehicle for transportation to and from work.
• Massachusetts Radiology license is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
