CT Technologist

Job Overview

This position requires a dedicated CT Technologist to work within a fast-paced emergency department environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and trauma settings, contributing to effective patient care and timely imaging services.

Job Details

• Schedule: Weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)
• Shifts Available: 2 x 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00) and 1 x 12-hour mid shift (15:00 – 03:00) on Monday
• Expected Caseload: Daily caseload of 150-200 scans across 4 rooms
• Orientation: Must be available for orientation, which is necessary for job commencement
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: None

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience in a 500-bed hospital is required
• Proficient in GE and Siemens FORCE scanner use
• Experience with CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)(CT)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in outpatient settings
• IV starts proficiency
• Familiarity with PACS and contrast administration

Patient Demographic Experience

Candidates should be equipped to work with a diverse patient demographic including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Special Requirements

The role involves routine emergency department patients, handling code stroke situations, and some trauma patients. Candidates must be prepared to work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment.

Equipment and Systems

• Special Equipment: Siemens scanners, including the S3000 and Sequoia
• Unit Systems: EPIC and Visage

Scrubs

Scrubs will not be provided. Candidates are required to wear royal blue scrubs.
