Critical Care Float Pool Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Float Pool Nurse with experience in both Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings. The primary responsibilities will include the care of ER and ICU patients, as well as the flexibility to assist in other nursing units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for ER and ICU patients.
• Float to other nursing units, assisting where necessary, but not serving as the primary nurse.
• Support patient expediting on various floors.
• Monitor telemetry and assist with patient transportation.
• Participate as a member of the rapid response and code blue teams as needed.
• Work evening and night shifts, totaling 72-80 hours per two weeks.

Shift Information

This position requires various shifts, including evenings and nights.

Holiday Coverage

Availability to work during holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both the ER and ICU.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
