Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to plan and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs for patients. The role focuses on helping patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Assess and document patient progress towards therapy goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding therapeutic interventions and goals.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.

Schedule

This position requires 8-hour shifts over a 40-hour work week. The Occupational Therapist will work three days in one location and two days in another, with a distance of 17 miles between the two sites.

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

Weekend and holiday work may be required as needed, but there are no on-call responsibilities for this position.

Dress Code

The accepted dress code is business casual or solid scrubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy with adult and pediatric populations.
• Experience in outpatient settings is required.
• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License is essential.
• Strong pediatric experience is required.
• A clean driving record and access to an insurable vehicle is necessary for travel between multiple locations.
