Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse (RN) to support the health and wellness of a school population in a school health office/clinic setting. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working with students across all age groups.

This position serves the general student population, providing clinical care, triage, and oversight of health services to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide care to students presenting with illness, injury, or general health concerns
Perform clinical assessments and triage, determining appropriate care and next steps
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with medical needs
Support students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies)
Respond to emergencies, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate EMS when necessary
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school
Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
Pediatric, school nursing, or community health experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Schedule Details
Monday–Friday, school-day hours
Follows the school calendar (holidays and breaks off)
No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
Experience in a school, pediatric clinic, urgent care, or community health setting
Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and care coordination
Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
