CT Technologist

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic radiology unit, providing high-quality imaging services in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on patients, ensuring the highest quality of imaging.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction.
• Conduct special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and myelography.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to prepare and administer contrast media as needed.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and isolation precautions.
• Chart using the Epic system and manage patient data efficiently.

• Emergency Department
• ICU
• Level I Trauma
• Outpatient settings

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience, with a requirement of Level I Trauma experience.
• Certifications: ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), Basic Life Support (BLS), and state licensure.
• Preferred skills include experience with Siemens equipment and PACS systems.
• Knowledge and experience in advanced imaging techniques such as coronary CTA and virtual colonography are advantageous.

Working Conditions

The position involves working night shifts (3×12-hour). The successful candidate must be willing to float between various locations as needed.

Patient Demographics

This role will involve working with diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Additional Information

Applicants should be prepared to supply their own radiation badge upon commencement of employment. As part of the training, an orientation of 40 hours will be conducted to ensure proper integration into the team.

Please note that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams if required.
