Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a night shift position. The role involves performing CT scans on patients in various settings, requiring a high level of expertise and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans on patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Conduct imaging studies including abdomen, pelvis, chest, and specialized procedures such as biopsies and drainages.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction.
• Maintain patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as needed.
• Float to other locations as required to meet facility needs.
• Chart patient data using the Epic system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma setting is required.
• Certifications required: ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), BLS, and current state license.
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment is required.
• Skills in image display, post-processing, and region of interest measurement are preferred.

Work Environment

The position includes a demanding schedule of 3 night shifts per week. Daily caseload averages 6 patients per hour, and the role involves working in adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, ICU, and trauma settings.

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 40 hours of initial training.
• Weekly schedules may involve floating to additional locations or units to meet staffing needs.
• Required to possess a radiation badge, which must be supplied by the agency.
• Parking fees apply for night and weekend shifts.
• Candidates should be prepared for potential assignments during hurricane season from June through November.
